Have fun in the sun in these adorable and easy to make sunflower flip flops! The combination of breathable cotton yarn, easy and fast design, and adjustable sizing make this pattern the perfect summer DIY project! Wear your customized sunflower flip flops for going out and about on sunny summer days, hitting the beach, or even just hanging out in your own garden with real sunflowers! The possibilities are endless!

(Pin it for later!)

When designing these flip flops, I knew I wanted cotton yarn since it is sturdy and also great for summer. I decided to use Lily Sugar ‘n Cream, a fabulous multipurpose cotton craft yarn that comes in lots of bright colors! I found Yellow and Warm Brown (on Amazon HERE and HERE) to be just right for sunflower colors! The skeins of this yarn may look small, but they get a ton of mileage and for a great price too! You could make lots of sunflower flip flops just with one skein of each!

And if you’re a fan of sunflowers, please be sure to check out my Sunflower Square Blanket pattern! It’s the perfect project and/or gift for anyone who loves sunflowers!

The great thing about this project is that you can use any pair of flip flops you like – I used a plain old pair from Dollar Tree for mine! If you have a favorite pair on hand, those will work too!

So who’s ready to plant some crocheted happiness with this fun and easy pattern? I know I am! Let’s go!
