Stay cool and fashionable in this adorable summer sun hat! It’s perfect for wearing on the beach, hiking, camping, or just enjoying the outdoors wherever you are this summer! Made using cotton yarn, the hat is lightweight and comfy. And the beachy, decorative “Shell Stitch” gives it the perfect warm weather vibes!

Pin it for later!

It’s just about summertime now, which means it’s time to start wearing protective items like sunscreen and sunhats again! Why not add some cute style and flair to your head-wear this summer? This beach hat pattern includes both Kids and Adults sizes, so you can make them for the whole family!

In addition to the shell stitches made throughout the body of the hat, the color of this hat really adds to the beachy, boho vibe. The yarn I used was Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton in Ecru, which is a perfect go-to yarn for the summertime! You can get some on Amazon HERE!

Another great thing about this pattern is how easy it is! It’s made up of some increase rounds, some rounds of shell stitches, and more increase rounds to make the brim. That’s it! What a great weekend project!

Ready to make this summer light, breezy and beachy? Then let’s get started!

Notes
