Ice Cream Witch Hat – Crochet Pattern
Pin it for later!
It’s that time of year again – time to plan our Halloween costumes! Whether you’re looking for an adult size, kids or toddlers size, or a “mommy and me” set, you are sure to love this festive and sweet Ice Cream Witch Hat! Create a unique costume starting with this adorable twist on the classic Halloween motif! Get creative with colors, “sprinkles” and other embellishments. I made a Vanilla and a Mint Chip, but the flavor combos are almost endless! The style of the hat is inspired by a classic ice cream cone shape – the point of the hat is the cone, and the brim is the ice cream! What a unique costume idea – it’s sure to be a hit at trick or treating, parties / virtual parties, etc.!
Ice Cream Witch Hat
Witch hats have been a fall staple here at Crafty Kitty Crochet! Starting with my Candy Corn Witch Hat a few years ago, which was a huge hit to my pleasant surprise, I have been working on bringing you more unique takes on this Halloween classic. This year, I’m starting with a combo of two of my favorite things – witch hats and ice cream! Besides an all-around avid love for desserts, what inspired me most here was just the shape of the hat. The cone shape makes it all too perfect, and I love that the look is essentially an ice cream cone dumped over your head! I’m so happy with the mix of funny, cute, colorful, and comfy it is!
When it comes to witch hats, the super bulky yarn is what really does the trick here! I’m a huge fan of Lion Brand Hometown USA for the job, and the colors I used here are New York White, Louisville Julep, and Los Angeles Tan. Find them on Amazon!
